Cross Trainer Maintenance & Troubleshooting

We recommend that you regularly inspect your cross trainer and perform maintenance procedures such as lubricating and tightening moving parts and connections.

We also advice that you keep your cross trainer at room temperature, away from moisture and dust, and that you wipe any perspiration from the bike after each use.

CONSOLE SCREEN DISPLAY

A loose connection can result in the console not displaying distance, speed, or calories, or showing no display at all. Check all connections in the front post stem to ensure the wires are connected and intact. If the problem persists, please contact us.

HAND PULSE SENSORS

Loose connections or poor contact with the hand pulse sensors can result in no reading being displayed.

Follow the instructions below:

  • Stop the cross trainer and remove power from the machine and / or batteries from the computer

  • Clean the metal surface of the hand pulse sensors with a damp cloth

  • Replace the batteries and / or power

  • Ensure the palm of the hand is wrapping about both the top and bottom plates of the pulse sensor. Just the thumb wrapping around the bottom is not sufficient to achieve a good contact

  • Ensure the sensors are being held firmly, but not tight

  • Before obtaining a pulse reading, stop moving, remaining still will ensure the best pulse reading

DRIVE BELT

If the drive belt comes off the pulleys, your cross trainer may make a loud bang and appear to have no resistance in the pedals. The outer cover can be removed in order to investigate. If the belt is still intact it should be easy to place back on the correct path. If the belt has snapped or for further advice, please contact us.

CONNECTING THE TENSION WIRE

If the tension wire on your cross trainer appears to be too short and can't be connected, follow the instructions below:

  • Set the cross trainer to the highest level of resistance - this will move the lower section of the clip closer to the tension cable

  • Attach the tension cable to the lower section of the clip

  • Now pull the handlebar post upwards with reasonable force - this will not break the cable but will lengthen it slightly to allow the top section to be locking into position

TRANSPORT WHEELS

The stabiliser with wheels should be fitted to the front of the bike, in order to assist moving the machine.

Cross Trainer Registration

Registration is recommended as it allows us to quickly access your product information should you ever need to contact us with a query or technical issue.
